Southwest Airlines one of the major U.S. airline and largest low cost carrier in the world has announced to offer nonstop flights to Orlando early next year.
The airline has said that its services on Portland-Orlando route will be operational early next year.
Previously AirTran had operated nonstop flights on this route. But the flights stopped operation in April 2012. In May 2011, AirTran merged with Southwest airlines.
Orlando is one of the most sought after destinations for passengers flying out of Portland, only next to Washington, D.C. and New York City.
With the launch of nonstop flights to Orlando the leisure and business tourists flying on this route will get benefitted.
