AirTran a subsidiary of Southwest Airlines is all set to launch two daily nonstop flights to Atlanta from Nov. 3, this year.
The airline commences these services on Atlanta-Oklahoma City route.
According to the reports the AirTran will operate two flights daily from Will Rogers World Airport Oklahoma City to AirTran’s hub, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport from Nov. 3.
Delta Airlines dominates the Atlanta market for years and the commencement of new flights will enhance war for low airfares. It will also increase options in terms of connection between these two destinations.
The soon to be operated flights from AirTran will be served by Boeing 717 aircraft which is a little smaller than the Boeing 717 commonly used by Southwest’s fleet.
The customers of Air Tran are entitled to use Southwest’s ticket counter and gates at the airport. The soon to be launched flights will depart Oklahoma City at 7 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. daily.
