Soon the passengers looking to visit Bangkok from Ahmedabad don’t have to board flights from New Delhi and Mumbai as Thai Airways International is introducing direct flights to Bangkok from March 31. The soon to be introduced flights will cater to leisure and business travellers from the city, a statement issued by company said.
Thai Smile, an associate of Thai International will operate Ahmedabad-Bangkok-Ahmedabad flights on Wednesdays and Sundays. While the Mumbai and Delhi will get connected to Phuket, an admired tourism hub in Thailand. With the introduction of direct flights to Bangkok the travel time between these destinations will reduce significantly.
The newly introduced Indian destinations will be served by Airbus 320, with a capacity of 180 seats in total.
Previously, the introduction of new flights between Ahmedabad and Bangkok was announced during the concluding ceremony of the Vibrant Gujarat summit 2013 organised in January.
