Kenya Airways, the flag carrier of Kenya has launched flights to Jeddah starting it summer season to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is the airlines’ third destinations in the Middle East.
Kenya Airways will operate flights on Nairobi-Jeddah route twice a week every Tuesday and Saturday with an Embraer 90 aircraft with a seating capacity of 12 in business class and 86 in economy class.
The start of flights on this route shows Kenya Airways’ commitment to the Middle East. This shows that the airline won’t remain confined to Africa but also step beyond the continent.
The start of flight on this route will provide Kenyans and other regional and international travellers’ great connectivity to this oil rich region. Besides being a place for leisure and business tourist Jeddah also acts as gateway to the Holy City of Mecca.
The introduction of flights will give a boost to trade and tourism of both the countries.
