JetBlue continues its Caribbean expansion with two new routes to Haiti

JetBlue continues its Caribbean expansion, by announcing that it intends to fly to Haiti. The airline plans to begin daily nonstop flights to Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti on 5th December 2013. The airline would offer two daily round-trip flights from Fort Lauderdale on 100- seat Embraer E190 jets and one from New York on 150- seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Connecting service would be available from other JetBlue cities via New York and Fort Lauderdale.


Scott Laurence, JetBlue’s VP of network planning, thanks for the great reception and said that, JetBlue continues to grow in the Caribbean by providing low fares and award -winning service. With the expansion into Port-au-Prince the airline plans to meet the demands for quality service to Haiti by offering competitive fares to the large Haitian diaspora in the United States.

In the Caribbean, JetBlue is the largest carrier in terms of capacity and offer more flights to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic than any other carrier.
