Cebu Pacific, one of the leading airlines in Philippines, has launched twice weekly flights to Shanghai. The airline has launched Clark-Shanghai flights in a joint project with the Jimei Group to attract more Chinese tourists to the Philippines.
The launch of new flights is not only beneficial for Clark Airport but also for the rest of the country as it attracts more Chinese tourists. The launch of new services would fuel the Philippine tourism campaign and offer business travellers more flying options from Clark International Airport.
The Department of Tourism has set an ambitious goal of 10 million tourists by 2016. Meanwhile, Clark International Airport is continuing its expansions work and government is also keen to construct a low-cost carrier terminal at Clark.
Currently, Clark International Airport offers flights to a number of international destinations including Dubai, Doha, Incheon, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore.
