Hawaiian Airlines launched flight services to New Zealand on Wednesday.
With the introduction of new service more than 40,000 air seats will be added a year, with the potential to bring in millions of dollars in visitors spending.
The Hawaiian air will fly nonstop to Auckland three times a week.
