SilkAir, headquartered in Singapore, has launched flights to Indonesia. The airline has added two new destinations in Indonesia – Semarang and Makassar.
SilkAir, which is subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), stated flights to Semarang, Central Java, on 29 July. The airline will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Singapore’s Changi Airport.
The airline has also commenced thrice weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to Makassar, on the island of Sulawesi from August 1.
The Singapore airline is operating these services with Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft that offers business and economy seats.
The airline is expecting its services to be well received by leisure and business travellers.
With the launch of two cities SilkAir is now flying to 11 Indonesian destinations.
