Air China, the flag carrier of China will launch direct flights to Frankfurt starting from 19th May, 2013. The new service to be commenced by the airline will strengthen the city of Chengdu as the transportation hub for southwestern China. It will offer a quicker and more economic option for the travellers flying between China and Europe.
The inauguration of the new Chengdu-Frankfurt nonstop service will make the Chinese city the third Mainland China city that will have direct air links to the German city. Passengers can enjoy a significant cut in travelling time as the flight takes just 10 hours.
This effective service will be another benchmark as it represents rapid development in the tourism industry. It will also boost up the economy of southwestern China.
Chengdu is Air China’s significant regional hub of operations in southwestern China and is catered by the airline’s by over 62 domestic, international and regional routes.
