Delta Airlines pursues Brazil growth

Delta Airlines has filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation to add additional nonstop flights between Sao Paulo and new key markets of New York and Atlanta. This will surely increase competition on air service between the United States and Brazil. If this proposal will approved then Delta will begin second daily Sao Paulo flights to both Atlanta and New York in 2013.

According to Nicolas Ferri, Delta Vice President- Latin America and Caribbean, Delta has a strong commitment to Latin American market and wants to increase the options of travel to and from Sao Paulo, which is Brazil’s largest and most important market for business travellers. With this new expanded service there will be more options for customers flying between these key business markets and new flights to Atlanta means greater access to industry-leading domestic network.

From Atlanta, Delta Airlines conveniently connect Sao Paulo to more than 150 cities across the United States with more than 1,000 peak-day departures. Delta also offers more access to 24 destinations in Brazil which represents 99 percent of domestic demand points, which is more than any other U.S. airline.
