Sichuan Airlines a regional airline in China has launched flights to Sydney. The airline will operate twice weekly services from Chongqing to this Australian city.
As scheduled, the airline will leave Chongqing every Tuesday and Friday at 0100, arriving in Sydney at 1400. On return the flights will take off at 2145, arriving into Chongqing at 0445 the next morning.
Western China is one of the major growth markets in China and Sichuan Airlines’ launch of flights to Sydney will support this growth. The capital of New South Wales has seen strong growth in the number of Chinese visitors who come to explore several tourist attractions in Sydney.
With the start of flights to Sydney the airline has added second destination to Australia. The airline is already running flights between Chengdu and Melbourne.
