Etihad Airways starts its operations to Brisbane

Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates has commenced its daily flights to Brisbane. The airline will operate the daily scheduled flights from its hub based in Abu Dhabi via Singapore.


Abu-Dhabi based airline will grace the occasion by operating “Blue Moon Rising”, the Airbus A330 decorated in Manchester City Football Club colours on the initial flight that will take to the air on 1st February, 2013.

Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer, James Hogan stated, “The new service to be operated on a daily basis would add an extra 1,048 seats a week on the new route to Abu Dhabi-Singapore-Brisbane. The added capacity makes a way for the airline to compete on a more level playing field than in the past.”

He further commented, “The daily flights which are combined with a world-class guest experience access to more destinations compared to any other Middle Eastern airline. The new route also offers more to the several customers travelling on business and leisure purpose.”
