Kenya Airways the flag carrier of Kenya has launched new direct flights to Kigali in Rwanda and Bujumbura in Burundi in a bid to increase its presence in the East African market.
The airline will operate twice daily direct flights, in the mornings and evenings, to each of the two cities from its base in Nairobi. These flights are in addition to the existing round flight from Nairobi that connects Kigali and Bujumbura and returns every day.
According to the schedule, the new direct flights to will depart Nairobi at 0745 hours Kenyan time in the morning every day; and on return depart at 0905 hours Rwandan time. In the evenings, the flights will depart Nairobi at 1700 hours for Kigali; on the return, the flights will depart Kigali at 1820 hours Rwandan time.
Kenya Airways’ the flights to Bujumbura will leave Nairobi at 0810 hours Kenyan time in the morning; on the return flight will depart at 0940 hours Burundian time. In the evening, the flight will leave Nairobi at 1730 hours Kenyan time, and on the return journey the flights will depart from Bujumbura at 1900 hours.
The launch of twice daily flights to Kigali and Bujumbura will provide better options to business and leisure passenger flying on these routes.
