Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of UAE, is all set to launch flights to Yemen in September. An announcement of this effect was made by airline on Sunday. As per announcement, the airline will connect to Sana’a, the capital of Yemen.
With this introduction, the airline will add eighth destination on the Arabian Peninsula. Etihad is already flying to Manama (Bahrain), Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait City, Muscat (Oman) and Doha (Qatar).
Starting on September1, Flights to Sana’a will be operational four times a week.
With the introduction of new flights by Etihad the airline’s network in this region will be strengthened. In addition, business and cultural relations between these two countries will also improve.
With more than 90,000 Yemen nationals leaving in this region the soon to commence flights will find no dearth of passengers.
The flights will be serviced by a two-class Airbus A320 aircraft.
