Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of United Arab Emirates is contemplating to increase the number of flights to Philippines to three daily flights from the current two. The airline is launching these services keeping in view the growth of local economy.
A release from the airline has said that the airline appreciates the support in the country and it is here for long and it would like to operate three flights a day.
Etihad Airways made a modest starts in 2006 by operating four weekly A330-200 flights. The airline is now operating twice daily services to Manila from Abu Dhabi with a bigger Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. During this period the airline has carried more than 2.3 million passengers that show the growth of the airline.
The airline is adding third daily flights to manila keeping in view the huge demand from the leisure as well as business travellers.
